Call Mickey Haller
Synopsis
Do you need a lawyer? He runs his law firm from his Lincoln and is ready to hit the gas pedal. As he moves around Los Angeles, he engages in affairs while juggling a personal life that includes being a father and having two ex-wives. Originally scheduled with CBS for a series commitment in 2020, it was canceled just prior to filming the first episode due to COVID.

It has now been picked up by Netflix for a 10-episode first season based on Mickey Haller’s second book, The Brass Verdict. Mickey Haller has several cars, all with custom California license plates with legal conditions. California custom license plates allow a maximum of seven letters/numbers, but all Mickey license plates have a minimum of eight. Ok, I just finished this show and I still don’t understand why people gave it low ratings.
Definitely deserves at least 8-85
I was very skeptical about watching this due to the low ratings and not so good reviews, but I figured I’d try to watch a few episodes and then decide. I ended up watching 6 episodes at once. I saw the movie THE LINCOLN LAWYER and we all liked Matthew McConaughey, so Manuel Garcia-Rulfo seemed like bad casting. I think he’s also one of the reasons so few people watch this show because he’s not a big name, but he’s really good as the lawyer Lincoln.
I’m waiting for season 2
I loved the acting and will definitely check out his other works as I don’t know him very well either. As for the series, it has all the ingredients of a crime drama. The acting, the pace of the show and the production are good. If you like series like BOSCH or other courtroom series then give it a try and you will love it.
I hope Netflix doesn’t cancel it
He deserves more attention and love than he gets. Some movies and series are unnecessarily hated and this series is one of them.
