BOB TREVINO LIKES IT is inspired by the real-life friendship that writer/director Tracy Lamon formed with a stranger while searching for her father online. Lily Trevino, who often plays the caretaker to those like her father who should be looking out for her, yearns for the bonds of family. Abandoned by her mother as a child and then by her father in her twenties, Bob Trevino works long hours at a construction company alone to support his scrapbooking wife, Jeanie. The couple has been through a lot over the past decade, and Bob has struggled to put his wife first, to the point of ignoring his own feelings and need for friendship, meaning, and connection—until he receives an unexpected message on Facebook from a stranger. Lily and Bob’s blossoming friendship becomes a significant source of connection and healing in their lives. Bob’s small acts of fatherly kindness fill the familial void in Lily’s life and have the power to change her life forever.
