Synopsis
Miami, 1991
With his bloodthirsty urges no longer to be ignored, young Dexter Morgan must learn to channel his inner darkness as he goes from student to vengeful serial killer under the tutelage of his father, Harry. Christian Slater is older than James Remar when Dexter (2006) first aired. Then came Dexter: Resurrection (2025).
Of course, I loved it
I watched the original Dexter series, all seasons, I hate to admit, more than once. I watched New Blood, and it was fine. Like many other fans, I thought Freud’s ending was shallow.
No, I’m not giving away spoilers to say that
So far, this prequel is much better in my opinion. Maybe it’s the familiar characters, the love that they’re all back, and the show doesn’t fall far short of what we’ve come to expect in that regard. Right down to Deb’s gutter mouth and Masuka’s trademark laugh.
The show is on fire for me
